Somewhere in your house,

Inside it, a watch that hasn't ticked in years. Your grandfather's, maybe. The glass on it rises like a small hill. Run your thumb across it and you feel what watches used to be — curved, warm, made to be touched, not tapped.
Then the industry did the math. Flat glass was cheaper to cut. Flat dials were cheaper to print. In a single decade, the curve — the thing that made a watch feel alive on the wrist — quietly disappeared from everything you could afford. It didn't die. Even a certified chronometer — held to a few seconds a day — is still measured by the day. Quartz is measured by the month. We love mechanical watches; we own them. But we refuse to pretend that paying more always means keeping better time. Sometimes it just means paying more.
Glass, the way it was
before 1975.
A tall, double-domed sapphire crystal that rises above the case exactly like the plexi domes of the 1960s — except this one will never scratch. Tilt it to the light and the world bends softly at its edge. It is the single most expensive way to cover a dial, and the single most beautiful. That is not a coincidence.
A pattern you can feel

Around the edge of every Legacy dial runs a field of hobnail guilloche — hundreds of tiny pyramids, each catching light on its own. Watchmakers have used this pattern for over a century on pieces that cost more than cars. We could have printed a flat imitation. It would have photographed almost the same.
Almost the same is where we stopped listening.

In the 1960s, a factory in Bangalore taught India to make its own time — millions of watches that became wedding gifts, retirement gifts, first-salary gifts. If you grew up here, one is probably in your family right now, in a drawer, still faithful.
That story deserved more than a line in a caption. So we engraved it in deep relief on the back of every Legacy — not where the world sees it, but where the wearer knows it.
